Emmalyn Elaine

On January 1 our little girl made her debut. She was 6lbs 9oz and 20 3/4 inches. I am loving being able to stay home and take care of our little girl and being able to spend more time with Wesley. Wesley is enjoying being a BIG brother. He comes into our room every morning to give her a good morning kiss and he always makes sure he gives her a good night kiss.

My Thoughtful Little Man

At Wesley's school they had a Christmas boutique where students could purchase presents for family members. Today was the first day and when I picked him from his friends house after school, he was so excited to show me what he had bought me. Here they are...

He knows me so well

After he showed me the snowmen, he told that he wanted to buy one for Emmalyn, but didn't have enough money. I asked him what it was and he said it was a snowman that said, "#1 sister". He then asked if he could take his own money to buy it for her. "It's only $2.00", he said". Everyday Wesley amazes me on how thoughful he is and how much he already loves his little sister.

Letting Go

Wes on his first day of Kindergarten at Merced!

Almost 5 years ago, this handsome man and his little boy entered my life, the best thing that ever happened to me. Paul and I decided that Wes would also attend Merced, the school I teach at. He was about to enter Kindergarten and little did I know that our relationship would grow so much from there. The time together has had many great moments like talks in the car, taking him to practices, seeing him grow as an individual, being able to attend so many school events, but with the good also has come some of "those" moments. I wouldn't trade the times we have spent together for anything. Well as many of you know we have moved to Rancho, so Paul and I had a difficult decision to make, have Wes stay at Merced or have him attend the school in our new neighborhood. We decided to have him change schools and today was his first day. I took the day off, to be able to take him and drop him off at school. He was a little nervous as any kid should be. He has been at a school where he knew everyone and everyone knew him and was going to a school where he knew maybe 5 people. I picked him up from school today and he was all smiles. I am so happy that he likes his knew school. I am going to miss our daily rides in the car together, but I know that I also have to "let go", as much as I can. He will always be my little man!

Student of the Month

Wesley was chosen as Student of the Month for the month of November. You usually receive this award because you have have good attendance, good work habits, being kind to others, and homework is always turned in. This was Wesley's last award assembly since he will be attending a new school after the Thanksgiving holiday. Nice job Wes, we are so proud of you.

Third Grade!!

Here is Wesley's 3rd grade picture. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. Wesley is doing really well in school. He is reading above his grade level, loves math, is learning square dancing, and loves recess. Currently he is attending Merced, but in the middle of November he will be changing schools. We just moved and have made the decision to have him change schools and attend the school in our area. It was a tough decision. It's going to be a big change for Wes and I. He and I have been going to school together for a little over 3 years. I will miss having my little guy at school with me. I know he will do well at his new school and his best friend Caleb will be there to show him around. He is not so little anymore.

Pumpkin Patch Time!!

Today we headed to the pumpkin patch at Tanaka Farms. We visited Tanaka Farm last April and decided that during Halloween we would return. We went with our friends Jill and Jose and their daughter Abbie. The weather was beautiful, sunny and in the low 70's. The weather was better than at home. They had many activities for the families and children. They had a BIG wagon ride, games, a corn maze, face painting, a petting zoo, a small maze where children could ride a small quad around a maze, and of course picking your perfect pumpkin.
More pictures to be posted, but my darn computer isn't cooperating.
